Dog's skin irritations after doggie daycare?

My 13 month old Pit/Lab mix is always exhaused after daycare (he never stops playing).... but the day after his skin is always a little more pink.... but espeshally the skin around his butt. There are no bumps, just the skin is almost red. He doesn't seem to be licking or bothered by it.... do you think it's just "exhaustion"? Or should I be more concerned? It always goes away after 1-2 days.

Maybe its allergies. I suggest to take him to the vet.
Reply:It could be anything. Check with the daycare to make sure the dogs are up to date on shots, etc. Talk to the other dog owners and see if anyone else has noticed anything strange. Give your vet a call and I'm sure they'd be happy to help you over the phone, it could be something simple and harmless, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them. If the dog's general behaviour hasn't changed, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Reply:It could be an allergy to something at the daycare - maybe a different cleaner that they use that you don't use at home. Ask them. It may just be a sensitivity, not even a full blown allergy. But you need to know what he has been around to know if that is what is bothering him. Your vet would be a great source of information as well. But you need to know what he has been exposed to so you are more informed when you talk to the vet.
Reply:if its cold it could be raw or a minor allergy irritation
