every time i take a shower, i have red bumps on my skin. they are really itchy too. i tried washing my towel and changing it, but nothing helps. do you know what this might be and how to get rid of it?
RED BUMPS? help?
You need to get det. free. like Drift - wash your clothes and towels in that only. Then change your soap to neutragenia.
You have sensitive skin and these changes will make the difference but it will take sometime..
Reply:an alergic reaction, maybe? or maybe just sensitive skin to hot or something.
Reply:sounds like heat rash try a cold shower next time and see if it is the same
Reply:Try using a different soap. Even if you have used it for awhile, and haven't had that reaction before, it still may be the soap your using. Maybe try a unscented soap for sensitive skin. It is NOT an std, that person is just rude.
Reply:hey i think that you got a rash because well its red but you sold put some cream or if it is really bab go to you near by doctor maby he can help you i hope you get better!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Sounds like a form of Eczema. Did your area switch water sources recently? If so, you might want to buy a water softener or filter (you can get ones you can attach between the shower head and the hose if you have a detachable one).
If its not the water, try switching to a milder soap, like phisoderm.
Reply:I had that problem. When I would use soap like Ivory. Try using soap that say mild on them. This helped me.
Reply:u might be allergic to your soap or shampoo. even if its one u always used u can always develope an allergy. try changing soap
Reply:it could be like body acne maybe
Reply:try using different bath soap. good luck
Reply:Maria,it all depends, if the water is very warm, or on the hot side, it very well could be heat rash. to tack care of it, go to the store and get GoldBond. Ask the clerk in the Rx dept. where it might be. different stores carry it in different areas in the RX dept. rub it on you after you get out of the shower, and it should take care of it. GoldBond works wonders on almost any rash, or skin irritation.
Reply:It could be a variety of things causing it but it all boils down to sensitive skin. Try changing your laundry detergent and using something gentle like Ivory, Dreft or the ALL brand for babies. Anything that's made for babies will be gentle on your skin. Also, watch the really hot water in the shower. Go for lukewarm. If your skin is sensitive, you want to be careful with very hot water. Make sure to moisturize daily, and find a lotion that's made for sensitive skin. Again, you can't go wrong with baby products! Johnson and Johnson also makes products for adults if you feel stupid shopping in the "baby care" aisle. I'd give these things a try and then see what happens. If it's still bothering you, make an appt. to see your doctor. Good luck hun!
