Bumps On Arm. I want them off!?
This is a very common, unknown skin condition know as

Keratosis Pilaris

Don't waste money seeing a dermatologist because they will only prescribe an expensive, ineffective cream or lotion that will at first lessen the effects, but then your skin will worsen without the effects that the chemicals have on your skin.

My main advice is to constantly hydrate yourself and your skin. Basically drink a lot of water and take short, mild (not too hot or cold) shower and afterwards moisturize. (Vaseline Intensive Moisturizer is a good product)

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT + EXFOLIATE (scratch or rub off with loufa)!!! This will undoubtedly worsen the condition by drying out and perturbing your skin even more. ALL dermatologist tell me NOT to exfoliate so don't listen to them it will make your light condition HELL!

I've seen 3 doctors about your condition (which I also have) and they will tell you there is no cure, and that a cure is not necessary. We know otherwise...

Good Luck!!

Reply:Excema is a pretty common skin condition. Get some Eucerin cream it is over the counter and if you use it regularly it can greatly reduce the appearance and irritation of Excema...
Reply:I have those too. I've asked a doctor and it is fairly common. It is supposed to be just dead skin cells. It is ugly, but what works best is to exfoliate on a regular basis. Use a loufa (spelling?) in the shower. I also used this REALLY good lotion from Mary Kay. it works wonders. I'm sure any good lotion would work well. believe me with just a little bit of care, you will see the difference.
Reply:Are they on the back of your arms?? If so, I suffer the same problem, and I hear it is common. I have had them ever since high school, but they haven't really gotten any worse. Some of them are dry and rough but most are smooth. I read in a magazine that Eucerin is really good for it, but it didn't really work for me. However, everyone is different so maybe you should try it. Good luck.
Reply:I have had those before and I believe it was due to very dry skin. Is your skin dry?

I got mine under control by really moisturizing my skin, especially in the winter. In fact, my skin gets so dry, I sometimes use olive oil on it before going to bed at night. However, if you do this you will want to shower the next day or you might smell like a salad!

Hope this helps!
Reply:Maybe apple cider vinegar followed by moisturizing would work:

"I have psoriasis and after I have showered, I spritz all over with a spray bottle filled with 3 parts cider vinegar and 1 part water and rinse again. There is no soap residue left on my skin and I don't feel itchy. I think it helps body odor, also." - frugalliving.com
