Prolly hair follicles. Lots of men have them and the skin is quite thin.. no fat there at all really before you reach "pure raw fibre" the erectile tissue of your shaft... so the hair follicles sort fo push out on th esurface of teh skin forming those soft bumps.... that is.. if they are small bumps.

Little bumps on skin like goosebumps.... exfoliation doesnt work?
Any ideas? They are on my upper arms and hips. They feel like goosebumbs and a bit visible - like goosebumps. Exfoliation doesnt work. Anyone know what they are or how to get rid of them?
Little bumps on skin like goosebumps.... exfoliation doesnt work?
Keratosis pilaris. It is normal. Do some research.
It is a genetic disease and there is no cure.
Lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid can help.
I would recommend using a Buf-Puf type product and exfoliating your skin and then applying some lotion. Try Am-Lactin. You can even buy it at Target near the pharmacy area.
Reply:Moisturize.
Reply:my brother also has those! the doctor's explanation was that the tiny hairs covering the body is having a hard time going out the pores because the pores are blocked.
she prescribes physiogel or cetaphil cream applied over the areas twice a day for a month or until it disappears and to prevent using pore-clogging products such as heavily scented lotions.
good luck and i hope my answer may be of help.
Reply:Never saw them on the hips, but on the upper arms, some times they are like small pimples, if u squeeze them a white thing will come out ( like fat), if they are that kind, you might want to scrub a little harder with loofa or similar. If not this kind , I don't know about those. Normally happens on younger people . I had them when I was a teenager -up to early twenties. My both kids hv them one is 12 and the other one is 17. The 17 is almost outgrowing. They only have them in the aupper arms, and more during summer.
Hope it helps.
Reply:Rub iodine (get the clear one) on them. It will dry them out and then they will fall off.
Reply:My little brother used to get those a lot in the summer time. I just chalked it up to excessive sweating and not scrubbing hard enough in the shower. In the shower use the palm of your hand and rub the area (no soap just water) the dirt will probably start to rub off (assuming its the same thing my brother had). After you rub away the "little dirty bumpies" try using an exfoliant every day on your body...it helps a lot.
It doesn't sound like anything serious, its just a little dirt/sweat trapped under the skin.

it's called keratosis pilaris...also known as chicken skin. philosophy has a product specifically geared for this problem appropriatly named "chicken skin". it uses glycolic acids to breakdown the over production of keratin which causes the bumps. here's the link to check out the product.

Reply:try lotion itll help your skins prolly just dry
Reply:You need to exfoliate more. Try using a loofah and scrub those areas daily with soap and water just not too hard. oops I just saw that exfoliating did not work for you. Try Sea Breeze. Apply with a cotton ball twice a day. Those two things worked for my daughter.
Reply:you need more omega oils in your diet. seriously!!! i had the same problem, and that is what cured it. something about the pores getting blocked because the quality of the sebum (the oil your body makes) is not as good as it could be, and therefore clogs the pore. If you purchase a omega supplement, get one that is flavored with lemon, if not it is very fishy. Not good! I use a Omega 3-6-9 to make sure I get them all. I promise in 2 weeks it will totally cure the bumps, and your skin, and hair will be awesome!
Reply:This is an actual condition, both my sister %26amp; I have it. Visit your derm. There's no cure, but a perscription lotion will certainly help it!
Reply:Its called Keratosis Pilaris. I have it and I feel your pain! At least yours arent't pinkish colored like most peoples. Its pretty quite common. You can look it up on search. There is a lotion I discovered from a dermatologist called Amlactin. Mine went away after a few times I applied it.You don't need a prescription to get it anymore. You can get it at Fred Meyer, Costco, or other big store. Its about 16 dollars a bottle but it lasts forever practically lol. Hope that helps! :)

Why do i have a rash?
i seen last night that i have a rash on my right side just under where my underware stops. The rash is red and bumpy and the bumps are a little spread out, like u can see my white skin between them. Any ideas what this is?
Why do i have a rash?
No one, not even a doctor, can diagnose a rash without actually seeing it. Please schedule an appointment for a formal diagnosis and treatment.
There are literally hundreds of different types of rashes but they all have their own unique appearance. And, there are just as many treatments as their are rashes. A doctor is really necessary.

What is this bump?
I have this large bump on my pelvic area. Its not quit on my vagina, but more inbetween my vagina and pelvic bone. Its not an ingrown hair because its way to large. ITS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A HALF DOLLAR. It looks like notnhing i can pop like a pimple or an ingrown hair or a boil beacause its way to big. Its not red or anything. It feels like a stress ball under my skin. It usually shows when its cold. I also notice it when I wash the area while im taking a shower. I have seen a doctor about it. All he said was to come see him when it shows up. Ive been back when it did show up, but when i showed him the area where it was at, It was gone. He cant know what it it unless he sees it. Ive had it for a few years now. What is this mysterious bump?
What is this bump?
It sounds like a swollen lymph gland.
Reply:go to the docter

Reply:baby bump!
Reply:if you had it for a few years and had no problems it is probably nothing
Reply:its probably cancer- or it could be just a fat lump underneath.
When it does show up - take a video if it or a picture to show the doc later.
Reply:Ack, disappearing alien fetus!
Nah, really I have no idea. That is one of the weirdest maladies I've heard of.
Reply:It's possible it could be a cyst. The doctor may be able to feel the area where it is although the bump may not be visible at the time of visit.

Large bump on vaginal lips, std?
For about a year now, every 4 months i will get this bump on the right side of my vagina lips, right on the edge, more towards the bottom. It will last a week and be gone. but it will itch like crazy then go away. its in side the skin so it rarely surfaces. I've been tested and nothing shows up. I first got it after having sex with a guy, but we used protection!! It came like a couple weeks after we slept together. I've asked him if he had anything and of course he said no. But my nipples became very itchy for a week after that too, but they have been fine since. Any suggestions? the doctors couldn't tell me anything. But when it appears, i don't have sex at all just in case. I'm not on any kind of medication or anything
Large bump on vaginal lips, std?
Probably HPV or Human pappiloma virus. It can be transmitted, but usually from female to male. It's very similar to Herpes and not that uncommon. See your doctor. There are new drugs on the market that lesson the symptoms. And you are smart not to have sex when the lesion manifests itself.
Best wishes.

Big bump on nose.HELPPP!?
i have a bump on my nose..i dont know if its a pimple because there nothing inside.(its just hard %26amp; under the skin)
And it wont go away!
its been there for 2 weeks.
Ive tried everything
what should i do?
Big bump on nose.HELPPP!?
i think the best thing to do if you are that worried is go see a doctor.. i have had those before and they have always ended up being a pimple just really deep but when i pressed on it, it did kind of hurt.. try to press on it and see if it kind of hurts if not then wait a few days and see what happens make sure you keep washing your face and if it doesnt seem to go away in a couple of days go to the doctor it could be something else.
Reply:oh that happens to me too! just leave it alone or it will just get redder and redder
Reply:Go see a doctor.
Reply:The pores on your nose are different that other pores on your face. Two weeks is not a big problem. It is probably just a little dried and has become cyst-like inside. You could see a dermatologist and they may prescribe an antibiotic or heat it, but otherwise I would do an activity that makes you sweat and then wash it carefully with antibacterial soap and apply some hydrogen peroxide on a tissue a few seconds at a time and see if that loosens it up so it drains.
Reply:Cover up! good luck!
Reply:It's probably a wart! no worries, your not turning into an ugly old witch! just go to the doctor and get it removed. easy as pie.
Reply:OMFG!
