Soft bumps under skin on penis?

Prolly hair follicles. Lots of men have them and the skin is quite thin.. no fat there at all really before you reach "pure raw fibre" the erectile tissue of your shaft... so the hair follicles sort fo push out on th esurface of teh skin forming those soft bumps.... that is.. if they are small bumps.

Little bumps on skin like goosebumps.... exfoliation doesnt work?

Any ideas? They are on my upper arms and hips. They feel like goosebumbs and a bit visible - like goosebumps. Exfoliation doesnt work. Anyone know what they are or how to get rid of them?

Little bumps on skin like goosebumps.... exfoliation doesnt work?
Keratosis pilaris. It is normal. Do some research.

It is a genetic disease and there is no cure.

Lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid can help.

I would recommend using a Buf-Puf type product and exfoliating your skin and then applying some lotion. Try Am-Lactin. You can even buy it at Target near the pharmacy area.
Reply:Moisturize.
Reply:my brother also has those! the doctor's explanation was that the tiny hairs covering the body is having a hard time going out the pores because the pores are blocked.

she prescribes physiogel or cetaphil cream applied over the areas twice a day for a month or until it disappears and to prevent using pore-clogging products such as heavily scented lotions.

good luck and i hope my answer may be of help.
Reply:Never saw them on the hips, but on the upper arms, some times they are like small pimples, if u squeeze them a white thing will come out ( like fat), if they are that kind, you might want to scrub a little harder with loofa or similar. If not this kind , I don't know about those. Normally happens on younger people . I had them when I was a teenager -up to early twenties. My both kids hv them one is 12 and the other one is 17. The 17 is almost outgrowing. They only have them in the aupper arms, and more during summer.

Hope it helps.
Reply:Rub iodine (get the clear one) on them. It will dry them out and then they will fall off.
Reply:My little brother used to get those a lot in the summer time. I just chalked it up to excessive sweating and not scrubbing hard enough in the shower. In the shower use the palm of your hand and rub the area (no soap just water) the dirt will probably start to rub off (assuming its the same thing my brother had). After you rub away the "little dirty bumpies" try using an exfoliant every day on your body...it helps a lot.

It doesn't sound like anything serious, its just a little dirt/sweat trapped under the skin.

it's called keratosis pilaris...also known as chicken skin. philosophy has a product specifically geared for this problem appropriatly named "chicken skin". it uses glycolic acids to breakdown the over production of keratin which causes the bumps. here's the link to check out the product.

Reply:try lotion itll help your skins prolly just dry
Reply:You need to exfoliate more. Try using a loofah and scrub those areas daily with soap and water just not too hard. oops I just saw that exfoliating did not work for you. Try Sea Breeze. Apply with a cotton ball twice a day. Those two things worked for my daughter.
Reply:you need more omega oils in your diet. seriously!!! i had the same problem, and that is what cured it. something about the pores getting blocked because the quality of the sebum (the oil your body makes) is not as good as it could be, and therefore clogs the pore. If you purchase a omega supplement, get one that is flavored with lemon, if not it is very fishy. Not good! I use a Omega 3-6-9 to make sure I get them all. I promise in 2 weeks it will totally cure the bumps, and your skin, and hair will be awesome!
Reply:This is an actual condition, both my sister %26amp; I have it. Visit your derm. There's no cure, but a perscription lotion will certainly help it!
Reply:Its called Keratosis Pilaris. I have it and I feel your pain! At least yours arent't pinkish colored like most peoples. Its pretty quite common. You can look it up on search. There is a lotion I discovered from a dermatologist called Amlactin. Mine went away after a few times I applied it.You don't need a prescription to get it anymore. You can get it at Fred Meyer, Costco, or other big store. Its about 16 dollars a bottle but it lasts forever practically lol. Hope that helps! :)

Why do i have a rash?

i seen last night that i have a rash on my right side just under where my underware stops. The rash is red and bumpy and the bumps are a little spread out, like u can see my white skin between them. Any ideas what this is?

Why do i have a rash?
No one, not even a doctor, can diagnose a rash without actually seeing it. Please schedule an appointment for a formal diagnosis and treatment.

There are literally hundreds of different types of rashes but they all have their own unique appearance. And, there are just as many treatments as their are rashes. A doctor is really necessary.

What is this bump?

I have this large bump on my pelvic area. Its not quit on my vagina, but more inbetween my vagina and pelvic bone. Its not an ingrown hair because its way to large. ITS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A HALF DOLLAR. It looks like notnhing i can pop like a pimple or an ingrown hair or a boil beacause its way to big. Its not red or anything. It feels like a stress ball under my skin. It usually shows when its cold. I also notice it when I wash the area while im taking a shower. I have seen a doctor about it. All he said was to come see him when it shows up. Ive been back when it did show up, but when i showed him the area where it was at, It was gone. He cant know what it it unless he sees it. Ive had it for a few years now. What is this mysterious bump?

What is this bump?
It sounds like a swollen lymph gland.
Reply:go to the docter
Reply:un pedo
Reply:baby bump!
Reply:if you had it for a few years and had no problems it is probably nothing
Reply:its probably cancer- or it could be just a fat lump underneath.

When it does show up - take a video if it or a picture to show the doc later.
Reply:Ack, disappearing alien fetus!

Nah, really I have no idea. That is one of the weirdest maladies I've heard of.
Reply:It's possible it could be a cyst. The doctor may be able to feel the area where it is although the bump may not be visible at the time of visit.

Large bump on vaginal lips, std?

For about a year now, every 4 months i will get this bump on the right side of my vagina lips, right on the edge, more towards the bottom. It will last a week and be gone. but it will itch like crazy then go away. its in side the skin so it rarely surfaces. I've been tested and nothing shows up. I first got it after having sex with a guy, but we used protection!! It came like a couple weeks after we slept together. I've asked him if he had anything and of course he said no. But my nipples became very itchy for a week after that too, but they have been fine since. Any suggestions? the doctors couldn't tell me anything. But when it appears, i don't have sex at all just in case. I'm not on any kind of medication or anything

Large bump on vaginal lips, std?
Probably HPV or Human pappiloma virus. It can be transmitted, but usually from female to male. It's very similar to Herpes and not that uncommon. See your doctor. There are new drugs on the market that lesson the symptoms. And you are smart not to have sex when the lesion manifests itself.

Best wishes.

Big bump on nose.HELPPP!?

i have a bump on my nose..i dont know if its a pimple because there nothing inside.(its just hard %26amp; under the skin)

And it wont go away!

its been there for 2 weeks.

Ive tried everything

what should i do?

Big bump on nose.HELPPP!?
i think the best thing to do if you are that worried is go see a doctor.. i have had those before and they have always ended up being a pimple just really deep but when i pressed on it, it did kind of hurt.. try to press on it and see if it kind of hurts if not then wait a few days and see what happens make sure you keep washing your face and if it doesnt seem to go away in a couple of days go to the doctor it could be something else.
Reply:oh that happens to me too! just leave it alone or it will just get redder and redder
Reply:Go see a doctor.
Reply:The pores on your nose are different that other pores on your face. Two weeks is not a big problem. It is probably just a little dried and has become cyst-like inside. You could see a dermatologist and they may prescribe an antibiotic or heat it, but otherwise I would do an activity that makes you sweat and then wash it carefully with antibacterial soap and apply some hydrogen peroxide on a tissue a few seconds at a time and see if that loosens it up so it drains.
Reply:Cover up! good luck!
Reply:It's probably a wart! no worries, your not turning into an ugly old witch! just go to the doctor and get it removed. easy as pie.
Reply:OMFG!

Moving bump on the finger?

Just found a smaller than pea-sised round bump on the side of my finger, in the middle of the lower phalange. What worries me is that it rolls under my skin. Could it be a clot? Should this be something to worry about and see the doctor ASAP?

Thanks.

Moving bump on the finger?
a wart maybe ?

No worries cancer doesn't move. Your safe there .
Reply:It could be a cyst of some type - have you had any splinters or other injuries that could have left a foreign body in there? If it's not swollen, discolored or painful, probably not a clot, but see your doctor about it anyway. Good luck.
Reply:It may be a cyst of the tendon sheath (a ganglion).

Help!itchy!?

WHEN I LAY IN MY BED AT NIGHT, I GET VERY ITCHY. BUT ITS NOT LIKE SOMETHING THATS BITING ME. DONT SAY IM DIRTY BECAUSE I DO TAKE SHOWERS BEFORE I GO TO BED. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM CAN BE? I CHANGED MY SHEETS AND WASHED EVERYTHING. I KNOW NOTHING IS BITING ME BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ANY BUMPS OR BRUISES. SO I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH MY SKIN. I DONT KNOW. THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP.

Help!itchy!?
you might be allergic to the detergent or fabric softener that you wash your sheets and pillowcases in. try dye/perfume free, or allergen reducing febreeze. I had the same problem. also take a benedryl before bed, with plenty of water.
Reply:I have the same problem, especially my legs. In fact the itching will wake me up. I checked the answers to this question from a previous post and the answer is the same. It could be many things but I'm confidant it is not a disease or allergy. My problem goes away if I stop shaving my legs, the only problem with that is that it isn't very attractive. I have not tried waxing though. Perhaps that might help.

Good luck!

Weird lump on a vein on my arm?
Hi there, This sounds like a Ganglion Cyst which is also sometimes reffered to as a "Bible Bump". It is basically when the fluid from your joints leak out and cause a cyst. I get them all the time on the top of my right wrist and you're right they are very achey. I have read up on them and it seems they are harmless and they will go away on there own. Wkipedia has a excerpt on them, have a look..... Good luck!

Small Bump Near My Penis?
Are you sexually active and do you use condoms? You can have a wart that can be removed. Go to your doctor and tell him the truth and he will give you the truth back in a diagnosis.

Hormones are a tough thing, rubber up guys for your protection and hers.
Reply:It could very likely still be an ingrown hair (even though you say there's no hair in the area) or it could be a clogged pore / follicle. Do have it checked out.
Reply:Probably just a folliculitis, or infected hair follicle. Pretty common, especially if you have been sweating quite a bit.
Reply:Yes you should speak to your dad and go and see a doctor. You are only 18, dont worry, could be an infection due to poor hygene, nothing serious. See your doctor at the earliest.
Reply:Remember even at 18 you're still growing so it could be a second penis. Check with your dad and then the doc if your dad thinks it looks dodgy. Better safe than sorry.

Was it a tick?

I took my cousin who has down-syndrome for a walk today and when we got back, she had this little black bump under her skin. I got suspicious about it being a tick. Her mother took her to the hospital and doctors examined her and said: “it might be an insect, but it not a tick, TAKE HER HOME AND have her take a shower and try to take the insect out yourself!!!!!!!!!” never mind the carelessness of those doctors (with whom I will have a talk tomorrow), we finally were about to take out the insect. It was a light brown, shrimp shaped, insect. The problem is that we missed a little bit of its body and regardless of our effort we couldn’t take it out. Any advice on what it could have been and what we should do? If it the pest had lime disease, would a blood test show it this soon?

Was it a tick?
My son last week had a tick. It kinda looked like a spider. It had a round body with curvy legs. My fiancee pulled the body out but left the head in so he had to take my son (2 years old) to the ER to have them remove the rest. They didn't need to give him antibiotic but to watch it. The tick was black in color. Perhaps you should get a second opinion or just take her to the ER and have a look at it. Only certain ticks carry lime disease and a doctor would be able to tell looking at the tick and if possible doing ticks or antiobiotics. Another friend had a tick and he had to take a pill to prevent lime disease. He had to go to a walk-in clinic so it might have been different in his case. I would go get it checked out as soon as you can from experience.
Reply:A tick, regardless of the species, has a round thorax, with a small head. They range from small ticks the size of a pinhead, to a tick the size of marble if it is engorged in enough blood, lol. But these are most commonly found on dogs or other animals as most humans remove them before they have fed this much. Ticks carrying rocky mountain spotted fever normally have 6-8 light colored dots on their back. Ticks having lyme disease normally have to stay attached for 8 hrs in order to transmit the disease. Symptoms are a low grade fever, generalized weakness, fatigue, and aching like the flu. A blood test will usually tell within 24 hrs. However, the pest you described does not sound like a tick. But I can not recall what it might be off hand. However, I agree the staff at the ER should have removed it themselves.

Moles from tanning salon?

I have been tanning for about a month...i noticed today these brown spots that look like moles...but the weird thing is they feel like a bump under the skin..i was able to just scratch them off and then it looked like a blackhead but left a small scratch/scar which are healing...is this normal? was it a blackhead or a mole? can some moles just be scratched off? will they come back? will i have scars? they were really tiny just so you know and also how can i prevent this?

Moles from tanning salon?
sometimes they are "sun freckles" but if they're larger, you might want to see a dermatologist. it might be damage to your skin from tanning

moles and blackheads cannot be scratched off.

Stomach pains?

I've never had bad stomach pains in my life. Lately tho has been another story. I noticed on my right side of my stomach where my ovary/fallopian tube would be that sometimes there is something popping out.

It feels like a shape of a tube or something and it sticks out like a bump on my skin. But it's not on my left side ever. It goes away after about an hour sometimes minutes. It comes with some pain. But usually the pain is right before it happens or right after it disappears. Sometimes its so bad that i can barely move.

Does anyone know what this could be??

Plus i have no insurance so i dont want to run to the doctor unless i really have too.

Thanks for you help!

Stomach pains?
A cyst (giving an example) or a lymph node (another example) could have something to do with this thing sticking out that you notice. I would recommend seeing a doctor for further evaluation of the situation.

Because of the issue with your finances I would recommend checking with the city health dept to see if they offer a free health clinic that might be able to help evaluate the situation further.

Diagnosis, please?

Whenever I get stressed out, I get a bump under my skin a couple of days after the stressful event. They aren't very uncomfortable, but they usually feel about the size of pencil eraser, and very firm. They are always on my face, usually my forehead, chin or that boney area between my nose and mouth. It seems like really hard mucus.

Diagnosis, please?
Stress causes acne and that is more than likely what it is.
Reply:We can't diagnose this...go to the doctor.

I have some weird cyst things that appeared on my leg recently?

So a few months ago I go one little red spot on my leg, and then another, and then i found a couple more. They're not really raised or anything, but it seems like a little bump under the skin. this is pretty embarrassing, but does anyone have any clue what this could be?

I have some weird cyst things that appeared on my leg recently?
Well, not that I have an degree or anything as of yet, but I am a nursing student who just happened to finish a lecture on skin about 3 weeks ago. According to what I have learn and from your description, it can be at least two of the disorder that I have read about. One is petechiae which are flat red or purple rounded "freckles that is not blanchable; its cause could be but is not limited to liver disease, vitamin C or K deficiency, minute hemorrhages resulting from fragile capillaries, or anticoagulant therapy. The other is cherry angiomas which are small, bright red spots which are usually made up of clusters of tiny capillaries at the skin surface and it is common amongst the elderly. Anyway, the best way for you to figure out what it is is to see a doctor because you can never know and its best to go as early as possible because the earlier you go, the greater chance of getting it rectified.

Ovarian Cyst?

Has anyone had an ovarian cyst? I think I might have one or two. I can feel a bump under my skin 1 to 2 inches in diameter. What are the symptoms of this? Could it be malignant?

Ovarian Cyst?
ovarian cyst are more common than you may think, but you need to see a gyno to be sure that's what is going on, don't put it off just go!
Reply:I think you ought to read a bit about cysts

But definitely, if whatever you have has not disappeared

totally within a fortnight, you should see a gynecologist.

I need help girls?

can u get pimples down in your private area? I think that is what i have it looks just like a pimple you would get on your face...its not really inside its kinda on the outer area..it had a white head yesterday and it burned a little towards the end of the day..i didnt feel it till i was taking a shower..i have never had one before and it really scares me.. today there is no white head and is just a small bump on my skin so could it be going away?

I need help girls?
Most likely it's a harmless pimple, yes you can get them on the outer regions of your vagina. If you notice that they're on the inside of the vagina, then you should really go to a doctor because it can be herpes or an STD.

If it really bothers you, ask your doc what to do about it, but more likely, it's nothing to worry about.
Reply:i don't think anythings wrong but if more stuff starts happening tell someone
Reply:Sounds like you have herpes. I would go to the doctor ASAP.
Reply:Any place that has hair, produces body oils or has a sweat gland can also get an infected pore. This is normal. Just cleanse the area thoroughly, keep it dry, and it should be fine. If it doesn't resolve in the next few days contact your doctor.
Reply:I'd say it's an ingrown hair. Use a loofa mitt ( you can find them anywhere.... Bath and Body works) and soap, but DON'T scrub to hard.

If more appear and aren't going away I'd make an appointment to see the doctor just to be sure it's not an STD.
Reply:You actually can get pimples in your vaginal area and surrounding area. Keep an eye on it for a few days.

Are you sexually active? If so, are you having unprotected sex? If you are, then you might want to have an sti test done at your doc's or local clinic.

Since you haven't mentioned anything sexual or sexually-related, I doubt that it is an sti. Pimples can happen--and do happen, usually they are a result of rubbing or an ingrown hair.

Hope that helped!
Reply:Yes, you can have pimples in your groin area. And Yes it could be an STD if your partner is out doing things he should not. If it does not clear up go to the doctor. Sounds like it is just a simple white head.
Reply:I know you said you have been with the same guy but are you having safe sex? I think you should see a doctor right away because it seems to me like you might have an STD so good luck and use a condom and have a talk with your man about whets going on.

What Is This?!?

Just two days ago i was on my computer and suddenly my neck started hurting. i felt it, and it feels like there is a bump underneath my skin. ihave it only on one side under my ear/neck, i don't have it on the other side. my mum said it could be an inflamed tonsil or something not serious. what do you think? could it be cancer? i'm really freaked out! help!

What Is This?!?
U should go to the doctor
Reply:Don't play around with any type of lump. Go to your doctor right away and have it checked. Cocoa
Reply:could be an infected Sliva gland. is it painful to eat or drink. go to doctor
Reply:It sounds like a sswollen gland. It could be from allergies or from an infection. try allergy meds first. If it still hurts after a couple of days, see a doctor because you'll probably need an antibiotic.
Reply:Hard to say about this. It could be you have been at the computer too long and your keyboard is at the wrong height causing you to strain your muscle.

Bottom line is you need to see a Dr if it lasts 3 days or more. The sooner the better. If the pain is right under your ear you need to get to the Dr right away as it could be dangerous. He/she will explain that.
Reply:You may have a swollen gland but I would not wait on that. See your doctor right away for peace of mind.
Reply:it sounds like your gland.its fine.just stops u from getting a sore throat. It like your body's defence mechanism.
Reply:you should go to the doctors and have it checked out
Reply:I would say to go to the doctor's right away you don't want to wait too long. I felt a lump on my neck and when I went to the doctors I was told it was just an infection....yeah little did they know 3 months later I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 4. I'm not trying to scare you it might be nothing, but please go in and get it checked...better safe than sorry...best of luck:)
Reply:A sebaceous cyst. They come up at the joining points between the ear an neck, but they don't usually hurt the whole neck itself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebaceous_c...

If its what i think it is then it will look something like this. It is basically a blocked hair follicle where sebum has built up in it. A hot press for 10 minutes twice daily should allow the sebum to be reabsorbed into the body and as a result the cyst should go. However, there is no actually way to get rid of a sebaceous cyst as they will come and go throughout your life unless surgically removed.
Reply:You are lazy, if its seirous then go to your doctor, rememebr, there's only a slight danger when it hurts, except for cancer that doesn't...
Reply:it probably is your tonsils or just an in-flared gland...gargle with hot salt water...
Reply:The doctor can help you much more because they have great medical knowledge.
Reply:Sounds like you have pulled a muscle but if in any doubt and as with any lump please consult your GP as soon as possible. I would say it is more likely damage from continued computer use. The other thing it could be is a swollen gland. Hope you are sorted soon and that everything is minor.
Reply:Go check that out.
Reply:Swollen Glands, They are under ear just before neck. Go to doc if you are stressed over it

Good Luck
Reply:for it to suddenly apprear then i would say its not cancer. cancer usually starts off small and then grows it does not start off being a big lump. i think your mums right (they normally are!) if your still worried then go get it checked out but they will probably say the same as your mum. take care and hope mum is right.
Reply:could be a trapped nerve get it checked out

Wart white and painful after being covered with duct-tape?

Thanks to all of you who gave me advice yesterday concerning a wart. Now I have another question:

I put Duct-tape on it as advised and after about five minutes my finger felt such pain that I had to remove the tape. After a few seconds though I was able to put the tape back on and there has only been slight discomfort and burning since. However, over night the wart has turned white and soggy. I can understand the sogginess because air has not been getting to the wart but why the whiteness and pain?

Also this is not the normal wart (a bump on the skin) this is a wart that wraps around the nail of my left ring finger,

Wart white and painful after being covered with duct-tape?
When I had warts, my mom gave me some cream for it and I had to wrap it with saran wrap and tape it so it stays there. After about two nights, I noticed it got white and soft. I didn't use it anymore because I got lazy.

A few weeks later, I kept washing my face with some Neutrogena Body Wash and I noticed my warts slowly fading away. Most of the warts that were on my hands were gone after about 2 1/2 weeks.

I hope I helped!
Reply:Hey, try www.wartabater.com. I went nuts trying to get rid of my wart and tried everything. The wart just came back after a lot of painful and costly attempts. This wartabater got rid of the darn thing for good. I am thrilled and want everyone to know about it! Report It

It might be pre-eczema...I have little bumps on my arms and they come and go...I was told it was pre-eczema and to use Ivory soap and wash my cloths in perfume and dye free detergent..

Are you taking any medications? have you been using a different laundry detergent? have you been using different beauty/shower products? did you walk through poison ivy or another type of poisonous plant? did you shave your legs or use a new depilatory product?

See your primary healthcare provider for a referral to a dermatologist.

*******help please******* i need to know some easy facial recipes and tips that work quicky and efficiently!!!

hey, um i dont have many resources or ingredients, so if u have easy to use and make facials that work quick, that would be great! and if u have some tips that would help clear skin of bumps and uneven tone, and elbow and knee lightening tips that would be great too! and if they dont work instantly thats ok, but please tell me, thanks! :)

*******help please******* i need to know some easy facial recipes and tips that work quicky and efficiently!!!
This website has a ton of great recipes!
Reply:you can exfoliate with apricot scrub or use a lavender toner. on remedy i use is, filling up the sink with HOT water thennn you lean over with a towel over your head not allowing any steam to be released for three minutes to allow your pores to open. then mix 1 cup papaya, half a banana, and cup of yogurt. mash this all together until there is no more chunks. apply to face and leave on for ten minutes. wash off and your skin with be REALLY soft. i use it all the time.
Reply:my favorite home made face scrub/exfoliator is sugar %26amp; lemon.

i prefer to use organic granulated sugar %26amp; lemon, but if you don't have organic stuff, just go w/ regular.
Reply:A great, quick way to create a face mask is to mix one egg white with enough lemon juice to thin out the consistency a little. Spread this over any affected area and let dry for 10-15 minutes. Your pores will be tightened with the dirt extracted by the mixture, and your face will feel and look great!

A method for lightening elbows and knees is to slice 1 lemon in half and put 1 tbsp. granulated or brown sugar (which is more gentle) on each slice. Just rub the exposed, sugar-covered part over knees and elbows for a few minutes once or twice a week and you'll be good to go. (I suggest using 1/2 lemon for each elbow/knee, because the sugar might dissolve in the lemon juice by the time you get to elbow/knee #2, and the job might not be done evenly.) Good luck!!
Reply:A little Baking Soda and some water is just like using microdermabrasion

Genital warts?

okay, gross iknow, but i noticed these small skin colored bumps inside of my vagina, imnot sure if i've always had them, or if its recent, the only reason i "went looking" down there was becasue sometimes during sex it hurts, or if i touch it in a certian spot, could this be irratation from sex, or genital warts, i've heard that gential warts don't hurt, but im not sure,

im supposed to go to the gyno to get the hpv vaccine, but i guess it may just be too late, any help is appreciated

Genital warts?
It might be gential warts but the only true way to know is that you do a blood test. I have HPV and I dont get Genital Warts not everyone gets Genital Warts. So your best bet is to get tested to make sure and if they are they can be removed. I got HPV about 5yrs ago and I am actually getting the vaccine Gardasil in about a week. I also thought that I couldnt get it since I had already contracted HPV. Everything will be fine and good luck!
Reply:I think they can sometimes remove them in a doctor's office, but I have heard that the virus is in your system and they can come back. I think the vaccine may be too late too, but check with the gynecologist...
Reply:This could be genital warts. They are usually painless, but if they are near the introitus (opening) of your vagina, they may be in a sensitive area. Your OB/GYN may need to take a biopsy. Another possibility is that what you are seeing is a remnant of your hymenal ring. When you have sex for the first time and your hymen breaks, it often leaves behind a ring of tissue...depending on how tight that ring is, it may be uncomfortable.
Reply:IT DEPENDS HOW THEY LOOK WARTS HAVE A DISTINCTIVE LOOK

THIS SHOULD PROVIDE U WITH INFO
Reply:Could be HPV, but I can guarantee you that sex wouldn't hurt. Probably just irritation from sex due to somewhat dryness, etc. Or could be because you are sweating down there (yes, it happens) and could be bumps due to that. I've had HPV for 11 years, and I've also had rashes due to sweating after exercise. Rashes will hurt during sex, warts will not.

I dont get acne really anymore, but I have a lot of old pimples mostly around my forehead that are just little skin-colored bumps now. how can I get rid of these fast?

I dont get acne really anymore, but I have some old pimples mostly around my forehead that are just little ski
ohhh yesss. its called a blemish. and a lot of people get it. i get them mostly and my forehead too. the best thing that i can tell you is to go to your neighbor-hood walmart or walgreens and look for biore. biore helps get rid of dead skin cells on your skin, it doesnt just hide the appericance of blemishs it gets rid of them. biore also helps your pores breathe so they dont get clogged... TIP: if you mess around with your zits/pimples before its time to pop them you will get a blemish. the best thing that you can do is wait. wait untill its white and red. =] ....

Good Luck,

Reply:Sandpaper your whole face with a coarse sandpaper, then wash it with bleach..
Reply:its called blemish, it happens to alot of people. look for any cream brand and get one that says blemish on it. give it a few days and it will be gone.

Reply:a visit to the dermatologist sounds like a good idea, but you can always try pore clearing scrubs at home, or a clogged pore extractor (found at any drug store) enjoy great skin!
Reply:wash your face. and use some extra pore cleanser on it, to clear it all up.
Reply:Read tips on treating Acne, Skincare and Home Remedies on this site
Reply:Put your head over a bowl of very hot water, dont touch the water and burn yourself, just let the steam rise on the spots. Hold it like that for about 5 mins. Then, take a sewing needle, burn the end, then run that under a cold tape and wipe dry with tissue, this makes it sterile. Gently try to prise the spots out of the skin. If they bleed a little dont worry. The apply a good moisturiser, something like Olay for men, on the face, just a little. Every day after that, cleanse thoroughly, NOT with soap, use Clearasil, ask your pharmacy for it, after cleaning, then use the moisturiser ok
Reply:i would try to pop the pimples, and then get the acne pads from clearasil and rub it over the popped pimples it should be gone the next day. i know cause it worked for me. good luck! :]

Help With Shaving?

I want to shave my armpits, but i have these little skin/flesh bumps under there. If I shave I think ill cut it off (cuz i won't be able to see it under shaving cream) and it will hurt badly. Any tips?

Use Nair or something similar. So you will not have to worry about razor burn or anything like that
Reply:Don't use shaving cream just wet them down and shave away.
Reply:use a hair remover cream like Nair .

Reply:I have found a site that will help you with tips and how to on it.

Just take things gently and not too fast, and remember to rinse off the razor between each stroke.

Reply:I get that from shaving. There have been a few times when I didn't shave for a long time and the bumps were gone. Once I shaved, they came back. I just shave over them with shaving cream and they are fine. Just don't press too hard. I've tried pressing hard a few times and nothing happened, it just hurts a little. I try not to press down too hard now.

Rectal Bleeding?

For the past 24 hours my 11.5 month old son has had rctal bleeding. Its not a ton but it is noticeable. He has had some problems with dairy, I am assuming he is lactos intollerant. But he hasn't had much dairy. My husband did give him a bit of egg for the first time yesterday morning, before the bleeding started. I have looked up food allergies and he seems to have alot of the symptoms. Eczema, dark circles under his eyes, mucousy stools, now rectal bleeding, he is very irritable and not playing or laughing. It seems to hurt him when I change him and hold him. He dons't have diaper rash. And he has started to brea out with some weird skin colored bumps one his arms and legs. He isan't vomiting, but he isan't eating like normal either. And he cried when I tried to feed him his favorite food.

Do I need to see an allergentist? What should I do?

you need to take him to see his ped, pronto! the doc will let you know if he needs to see an allergist...i'd take him to the doc like now...and if his ped isn't available...take him to the er.

Reply:PLEASE call you dr. you don't want this to turn into anything serious if it hasnt already!
Reply:Take him to the doctor before he dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:TAKE HIM TO A DOCTOR!!!!
Reply:Call the doctor right away, what are you waiting for? Rectal bleeding is not something to mess with! Yes, your son has allergies and you need to get it checked out. He could easily get dehydrated at his age which is very dangerous.

Best wishes to you.
Reply:Rash and bleeding are not something you want to sit around with. Take him in to the hospital right away.

It sounds like he might have something more than an allergy. Take him in today. Or right now, that would be even better. It warrants a trip to the emergency room.
Reply:Right now you need to take him to the emergency room, or call his pediatrician and ask what he wants your to do!
Reply:you need to call his pediatrician or go to E.R...rectal bleeding can be a sign of many things, many of them being serious.

Reply:DOCTOR - NOW

It is unlikely there are any qualified paediatricians on here
Reply:You need to call his doctor. And get him in to see the doctor ASAP. If he is bleeding and not feeling good you need to do something. If you cant get in to see his doctor you might want to take him to the ER to make sure it isn't something more serious. I hope he feels better soon.
Reply:take him to the doctor asap.

it is possible he has eaten a foreign object, and it is causing digestive problems.

Don't worry about allergies...it is too early for that.
Reply:Sounds to me like he has a reaction to the eggs. You should call your 24 hour health hotline. If you don't have one through your insurance company or locally, try this list that gives them state by state.
Reply:*lol* When you get back from minor emergency I am sure they are going to tell you what I am telling you -rectal bleeding is exceedingly common in babies and toddlers experiencing diarrhea or constipation and while the baby should be seen by a doctor it is not an emergency. You can just make an appointment. However given that it is Saturday and you are already there they will check your son out for you.

On the other hand pain, not playing, etc are signs that you should get medical attention within 6-12 hours. The bumps could also be hives which should be seen by a doctor as well.

It is extremely unlikely that your son is lactose intolerant -he may have a milk allergy but lactose intolerance under age 3 is extremely rare, always present from birth and impossible to miss as it causes failure-to-thrive within the first week of life. So switching to lactose-free milk products isn't going to help.

You can go for allergy testing, though it isn't as accurate at this age as it is at later ages. Mostly on this age they just run the blood test so it isn't really a big deal. It certainly doesn't hurt to work with an allergist either.

In any case here are some articles on lactose vs milk protein allergies:

I need serious BODY HELP!:(?

I have hardly any acne on my face but i have some on my back and on my chest i have a few pimples and some skin coloured bumps :( does anyone know any good products? or have any tips? thanks!!~

I need serious BODY HELP!:(?
Use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Cream Cleanser daily in the shower, and a SOFT scrub brush. It should clear up in about 10 days, but keep using the cleanser as it is preventative also. DO NOT USE PROACTIVE, ALCOHOL OR ALCOHOL BASED TONERS, OR TOOTHPASTE!!!(guaranteed you'll get these suggestions). If it is really bad, or doesn't clear up in 2 weeks, go to a dermatologist! Good Luck!
Reply:proactive works...and um...a lot of clean and clear products...the same stuff you;d use on ur face.
Reply:Neutrogena body clear body wash ! ! ! !

works great, i use it all the time and it helps with any type of acne i would get on the body
Reply:I use Teminator10 and it really works. Or go to your local super store and look at there variety of body acne products. Do not be embarrassed to ask someone who works there.
Reply:for your back you can have someone apply achohol to it daily

and you can apply achohol to ur chest daily

make sure to try and stop your hair from touching your back because then the oils will rub off and make more acne
Reply:university medical pharmaceuticals acne free clear skin treatments known as the most powerful helped me tremendously, its the one that says terminator.
Reply:Go to WalMart and look for the cleaner from Aveno...works great
Reply:drink HEAPS of water, like at least two litres a day. Then do some cardio exercise, this will make you sweat and clear your pores. Then exfoliate your skin regularly.

As pantene says, It wont happen overnight, but it will happen!
Reply:-oil-free cleanser by Neutrogena.

but you will need to moisturize.

-sweat can do that also, take a shower more often if you sweat frequently

-bad diet habits can lead to skin problems (poor nutrition)
Reply:ewww..are you a mutant???just playing..please dont take is seriously..
Reply:Use dial anti-bacterial soap for your body, it helped me get rid of acne on my back

For my face I use murad, it is a great acne product.

I tried proactive and it made my face worse, so I don't recommend it.
Reply:proactive works and my niece had a marykate party and there stuff made me break out but it works very well for many others!
Reply:Proactiv works, but can be really expensive if you're using it to treat your whole body.

My body acne went away as soon as I stopped eating lots of processed sugar. It's a pain in the a** for the first week or so, but keeping lots of fruit around when you get the urge to eat something sweet helps a bit. I ate about a pound of grapes a day for the first ten days or so, but the acne went away and I lost a couple of pounds to boot.

If you are dependent on your parents for food, and are not sure that they will foot the bill for lots of extra fruit (since it can be more expensive than "regular" food), stick to cheap stuff like bananas and applesauce. Fruit actually makes really good comfort food.

I have hypoglycemic acne, which means my breakouts are directly tied in with my sugar intake. A lot of people have this without realizing it.

Good luck, whatever you decide.
Reply:Well... don't over wash your back or chest. The young solution range is great and proactive is okay as well if you are willing to spend a bit more money.

I would personally suggest young solution wipe out. It is in a little bottle and you just put a drop of this stuff onto the pimple are spread it onto the area and it dries it out and its gone.

The other thing to do is make sure you drink plenty of water as it helps to cleanse your skin. Some people say that eating foods that are bad for you makes your skin get pimples but this is not 100% true. Your diet does not affect getting pimples much at all.

If it is so bad you should see a skin specialist and they may be able to give you special creams and stuff.

Also a face scrub could work... you just put it on your chest and back instead and it might also help.

I hope it get better for you!!! good luck
Reply:The best product that is over the counter that I have used is by Johnson and Johnson called Clean and Clear. For antthing other than some pimples, I would check with my regular doctor to determine if it is another infection. If it is, you may need a prescription.
Reply:proactiv works amazingly. works for face but also for chest and back acne. try it!
Reply:neturogena acne body wash is good
Reply:i had that. wash your chest and back with head and shoulders shampoo on random days a few times a week. my dermatologist told me to do that and it worked.

What are they?

I have little white/skin coloured bumps around my nose, edges of my mouth, and forehead. I dont think they're whiteheads, as I've had those and they aren't the same. It's not milia. So what????! Please help.

What are they?
HERPES!!! YUCK
Reply:I'd say they're pimples that aren't fully developed.
Reply:I'd say allergic reaction to some product you're using on your face. Stop all product use for a while and see if they disappear. If its not the products, they're probably a whiteheads. They come in different forms.... boo.

Skin irritation/rash..feedback wanted?

I have tan skin..on my lower/upper arm, and shoulder I have these patches the size of a dime or nickel..they DO NOT ITCH..but they are white..kinda scaly..almost bumpy/the bumps are so small you can hardly feel them..there is no oozing..my arms are not hairy but if you look up close it doesn't seem there is hair coming out of that spot at all. On my upper back (hard for me to see) but it looks like I have two more, my back in much tanner and it look like two white spots, like I am about to peel. They don't have rings around them, they aren't red, they don't itch, they don't ooze..which eliminates most conditions. I don't think it's vitilgo because they aren't completely white, it seems like only the bumps/follicles are white.

It's hard to explain without seeing it. But if you can think of any home remedies to make them go away that would be helpful..I have had them for 8 months or more.

Skin irritation/rash..feedback wanted?

Bumps on leg.?

Okay, for the last month or so I have had some bumps all over both sides right and left thigh..... close to the groin area....theres a good 25-30 on my left and around 7-8 on my right....most of them are small like the size of a pimple or smaller....tried poppin them n they just bleed...some are close together but most of them are spread out a lil.....any ideas what it could be? Iam a 20 yearold male. they don itch or burn or hurt....they just look ugly.what else could i say....they like skin color/pink

Bumps on leg.?
Have you been sleeping around ? Some people carry an STD called chlymydia. You should see a physician at your earliest convenience if so. They will need to prescribe some antibiotics. That's only my opinion.
Reply:okay im obviously a girl, so im not sure if its something male related...but it could be milescum (spelling?) i had some on my neck in fifth grade. They can be described like the bumps on your thighs. I went to see my doctor and she tried to pop them. They just bled. They DO go away on their own, because mine went away within 1 year...but they do have cream for it...go to the doctor.

good luck...%26lt;3

My 16 month old son has lots of tiny crusty feeling bumps all over his torso.?

He has had these bumps for several months and I believed it to be a heat rash or a common rash that babies get but recently I have noticed that there are more bumps. (Maybe because the hotter temperatures.) He hasn't expressed any discomfort from the rash that I have noticed. He's not itching it or anything. The rash is only on his back, chest and stomach. You can't see the rash unless you really look closely. You can definitely feel them. The tiny bumps feel dry and crusty. There are so many of them and his skin is not baby soft anymore. His next doctor's appointment isn't until September. I am hoping someone might be familiar with this and possibly offer suggestions to clear it up. If you think a doctor's visit is necessary I would like to know that also. Thanks so much for your help.

My 16 month old son has lots of tiny crusty feeling bumps all over his torso.?
im no doctor but it sounds like some kind of zoster you should really take your kid to the doc
Reply:go to a doctor, and take him to one too.
Reply:He's had these for months and you haven't gone to a doctor yet?

Honey, you need to pay more attention...
Reply:This sounds a lot like eczema, although itching is actually a key sign in diagnosing it. But from what you're describing it visually, it really does sound like it.

The bumps are crusty from breaking open; this means there's some kind of contact going on with his clothing or arms that's "itching" open the bumps. The reason it spreads is because of contact with the area because of clothing or his own rubbing/scratching against it. If you want it to stop spreading, make sure he either doesn't wear a shirt as much as possible, or get some softer material shirts. 100% cotton seems to be the worst for me.

I've had eczema ever since I can remember, and I get it random places on my body, usually in the summer and winter months.

Until you get to the doctor, I'd suggest applying a moisturizing lotion to his torso, one meant for dry skin therapy, and keep up with that daily, if not multiple times a day and see if it doesn't clear up or improve.

One other thing I can think of that could explain the rash is a new laundry detergent he may be allergic to.

(It's really pathetic, some of these other responses... I hope you figure out what's wrong though!)
Reply:Yes that might be some form of zoster
Reply:My youngest daughter had the exact same thing when she was that age. It was basically an allergic reaction to the heat. Kind of like a heat rash, the hotter it gets the more the rash breaks out.

You need to get him to the doc now to get something to help alleviate the rash. Usually a cream/lotion.

Trust me I tried every home remedy with my daughter and nothing worked. Once I took her to the doc and got the cream it cleared up in a week and she hasn't had it since!!
Reply:It sounds like pityriasis rosea, which is something I'm dealing with myself right now. There's no known cause, it's not contagious, and it doesn't do any harm (just looks bad and feels weird), but it's supposed to go away after about six weeks--you should really get it checked out.
Reply:if you are concerned about anything to do with your child any doctor worth their salt will be more than happy to take a look even if its nothing
Reply:My nephew had a similar skin condition just after birth. It turned out he was allergic to breast milk and had to be put on a soy formula. He was red and itchy as well, though, so I'm not sure how this would tie in. He may also have an allergy to fabric softener or whichever laundry detergent your using. EIther way, if the baby has a rash that's getting progressively worse, you REALLY need to see your doctor.... BEFORE September.
Reply:What color is your son's rash? Do the pustules ooze anything?

Is his skin completely dry, cool?

I often get heat rash on my torso in very small (pinhead-sized) bumps (supposedly trapped sweat when a person is unable to perspire). My skin often feels cool to the touch when this happens but it is very itchy. If your son is very fussy usually but doesn't express any discomfort, it might not be heat rash.

Does the baby have any known allergies?

You might try changing his bath products and lotions.

Maybe he just needs to be a few degrees cooler.

He may be reacting to a newly-introduced food.
Reply:maybe a form of eczema?take him to a doctor and he might be able to give you something that is safe for him.he is young so it may not be eczema he could be allergic to the clothes he is wearing or in the bed he sleeps in.the doctor can do an allergy test and see what the problem is.hope i was helpful.

Spots beneath the surface of the skin?

hi there, i used to have kinda bad acne, but i started using products and they have gone from the surface..so now when i caress my skin with my finger, it seems very smooth and there are no bumps (the spots)...but VISIBLY, there are still spots....im guessing that this means they are beneath the surface...how do i get rid of them?..ive heard of spot scars..do i hav that? thanks

Spots beneath the surface of the skin?
karposi's sarcoma maybe
Reply:Sounds like scars to me. You should go to a dermatologist and ask them. They can do the best they can for you. Good news is scars that aren't deep do fade with time. You can also try some vitamin E oil. I've heard it helps a lot. Maybe something for stretch marks or something like that. Asking a doctor is best. Good luck.
Reply:seems like you ave spot scars.. try using Olay total effects, it usually lightens up these stuff.. or better yet, see a dermatologist

Ive got bumps on my face, some people get them on their legs? How can i get rid of them and what are they?

They're not spots but they look like the bumps you get when your cold, But they're not goosebumps!

Ive got bumps on my face, some people get them on their legs? How can i get rid of them and what are they?
They might be heat bumps. You can just wait for them to go and rub alchohol.
Reply:Possibly whiteheads maybe? Nobody has perfect skin. Just be sure you are washing twice a day with a cleanser made for your specific skin type. Tone and moisturize daily--even oily skin needs a good moisturizer with SPF in it. And be gentle--too much washing will cause your skin to kick into high oil production because you are stripping away natural moisturizers every time you wash
Reply:i get those tooo idk:(

Bumps in my vagina?

I'm kind of freaking out. I was showering today and I noticed bumps inside my vagina, like inside the lip. They don't itch or burn or anything but they are definitely there, they are mostly skin colored but I noticed some are light, almost white. I wanted to see if anyone else knows what this is before I pay to go to the doc.

is there anyway I can treat this without a doc?

Bumps in my vagina?
You may have an STD. (assuming you are sexually active) Women do have normal bumps on the vagina...but I don't know about the kind inside. You need to see your gyno to make sure. You can't just treat it without their opinion - or at least I wouldn't be able to knowing that there really could be a problem.
Reply:sounds like you may have genital warts. I think a dr had to put some solution on them to dissolve them.
Reply:Women have natural bumps and folds and all kinds of interesting things down there, so I would not jump to conclusions yet... however, if you are sexually active, it could very well be genital warts, but I would see the doctor just to be sure... more than likely your fine...
Reply:Get thee to a dr asap. You probably have a sexually transmitted disease. Some are more potentially serious than others.

I got little bumps in my face..they are not pimples..but i want to know how to take em out?
Actually those bumps ARE pimples. Most people think that pimples are pusey, but they aren't, these are called "pustules".

"Pimples" are small hardened bumps of sebum(oil). These can be corrected by using a creamy/milky cleanser (not a foaming cleanser), then using a lotion, which is a non alcoholic toner, and then a moisturiser. Follow tihs routine twice a day, morning and night. Twice a week you should use a non abrasive facial exfoliant and then once a week you should use a clay or drying mask.

Follow this and after 1 to 2 weeks you will see results, keeping your skin hydrated like this will also help to reduce the scarring.

*Try the Neutrogena line of products, it is one of the only inexpensive lines which actually works and doesn't dehydrate your skin.

I hope this has helped you, good luck.
Reply:Yeah it is called a blemish, and everyone gets them. Even perfect me. LOL. But clearisil ultra works great, it gets rid of

them in 3 days
Reply:no wonder you have bumps, use a facial cleanser or exfoliator
Reply:ask your doctor about "differen".or ask him/her about some kind of acne wash.or go to the store and buy acne pads. they help.my face is all clear now! it was ugly.

Good Luck!!
Reply:my little sister has those...use moisturizing soap without oils in it..
Reply:You really should go see a good dermatologist who can tell you what is causing those 'little bumps' and can also 'prescribe' the type of medicine you need to control both those bumps and the 'acne scars' you don't like. Your face may need to be 'surgically treated' (not actually 'cut' but treated with a 'medical device') to make your face smoother ... but BE SURE that your dermatoligist is 'one of the BEST' and knows how to 'do' the work you 'need.' It's 'expensive' but it's probably worth it ... you can't just wash or 'cream' your face to get rid of the 'acne scars' and the other 'little bumps' also NEED TO BE SEEN BY A DOCTOR.
Reply:You need to start a skin care regime pronto! It's so hard on people- pimples and blemishes dent our confidence so much!

-Drink TONNES of water!! Rehydration in the skin is as important as detoxifying. Water does both so drink it!!

-Basically, Cleanse, rinse, tone, moisturise, and that's all there is to it:

Neutrogena Clear pore deep cleanse wash is great

Botanics Oil Wash off is also good, or any other cleanser like Clean and Clear blackhead remover.

Toners: any, but light ones with plant extracts work best.

Moisturise with Shine/Oil control moisturiser and you're done!

My favourite brands are Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, and Garnier (for shine control moisturiser). Use gentle toners and exfoliating face washes ^_^

Also, it helps to carry a little packet of fresh cleanser wipes for if you feel your skin getting oily or you're having a hard day ^_^ Alternatively, rinsing regularly with water helps too.

hope this helps hon!

What are these bumps....HELP PLEASE?
sounds like sebaceous prominence, they can appear as you grow to maturity or really any time, its a sebaceous gland that is sorta over sized, sebaceous glands arewhat hold the oil that is released onto your skin throughout the day, so what is in the bumps is oil and you SHOULDNT squeeze them to try and get it out it will make it worse, just leave them alone, if there upsetting you you can get then removed by a urologist or dermatologist im sure. wouldn't hurt to go to a doc find out for sure.
Reply:go to your docter, he/she can tell you whats goin on
Reply:these are normal
Reply:Sounds almost like a heat rash or razor burn. But to tell you the truth honey, when it comes to that special place... I wouldnt play games. I would get to the Dr no matter what. It would be one thing if it was on your ankle... But its not. Its on your Mack daddy. Go find out for sure honey so you dont lose your BUDDY:)
Reply:sounds like genital warts, but go to the DR...either they will tell you what it is, or tell you that it is nothing, either way you are better off than with our silly guesses...none of us really know what we are talking about, we havent been to med school....really.
Reply:Sounds to me like u have Genatal Warts. U need to go see the doctor.
Reply:genital warts,
Reply:it seems to me like you have genital warts. you need to be checked by a doctor first to be sure. genital warts does not have a cure. it can be treated.there are numerous creams that can possibly remove them or they can be removed by cryotherapy (frozen off). once they are gone they still could possibly come back.

Circumcision and Tiny bumps?

Okay Im a guy, 14 years old, and i have been circumcised ( at birth ) I was just wonderin, My skins not "Tight" its loose rather but its not like it goes over the head or anything. you can always see the head. but theres loose skin like you can see how my left testie hangs lower. Is this normal?

Also on the shaft theres little bumps. they look like hairs coming in or something, is this normal aswell?

i hope it is because I wanna get a girl :(

Circumcision and Tiny bumps?
Dr. Oz on Oprah said that it's very normal for one testicle to hangin lower than the other, but as for the little bumps. I'm not quite sure.
Reply:I don't think whoever did your circumcision did it correctly for there should not be THAT much loose skin.

And that's exactly what those "bumps" are - hair follicles.
Reply:Everything sounds normal. The "bumps" are just your pubic hair coming in. That's normal.

And the skin near the head, sounds like you had a loose circumcision rather than a tight one, so you have more skin there.
Reply:You are OK. Also, testicles by nature hang differently in height.

The little bumps are glands around hair roots. No problem.

Dr. Nicolas
Reply:Yes, it's normal for one testicle to hang lower than the other. Are these tiny bumps also found on your scrotum? I'm not sure if they're hair follicles, since the ones at the bottom of my own shaft don't have hairs, but they're normal too.

Help...my skin!!?
You my have the cocacci virus. I had a neice that had that, and their skin had all of these little white bumps. You should probably go to the derm.
Reply:Itching/rashes can be caused by insect bites like mosquito bites, heat rashes or allergic reactions.Aloe vera gel , apple cider vinegar or vitamin E oil can be effectively used on the affected skin. More cheap and natural remedies for itching at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/itching.html

Help with skin rash?
Almost looks like guttate psorasis-go to the doctor. If its not a skin disorder it is an allergic reaction from the dog/food/detergent you washed your clothes in if it has changed/possible soap that you bath with if this has changed, lots of different things.

What is a good way to get rid of "courage" bumps?

I get "courage" bumps(bumps under my skin on my face) right about a week before I get my monthly time. After I finish my week, some are still there after 2 weeks. How can I get rid of them faster? Weird "bump" under the skin near tailbone - What is it?

When I am sitting it moves around if I move around. When I squeeze my buttocks it sometimes moves around. It is not visible from the outside and I can not "feel it" with my hand or finger.

There is no outward injury or anything that I can see. Only what I can feel under the skin. It feels like it is right underneath or right in front of the tailbone.

Any help?

Weird "bump" under the skin near tailbone - What is it?
Wow.. I have the same thing! It's been there for a number of years now, and it's gotten a bit larger.. It doesn't hurt or anything, but I can feel it when I press on it..Since I started developing alot of other Lipomas under my skin in other places on my body, I feel sure this is another.. I hate the other term for lipomas (fat lumps) but this is what they are..Caused by the build up of fatty lipids under the skin.. I am not obese or way over weight, but some people are prone to them.. I asked my doc about this one on my spine, but she didn't seem very interested.. Said to keep a check and if it get's alot bigger, let her know.. So, it sounds like what I have.. If I've had it for years, I doubt it's fatal.. right? So, mention it to your doctor too. Just to be safe... :-)
Reply:Some people develop "skin tags" it could be one that grew recently. If it is internal, I would go see a doctor....
Reply:It could be a cyst...they happen there sometimes. Cysts can be completely harmless, but better to get it checked out.
Reply:Without actually seeing this, it is hard to tell. My first husband had a bump about the size of a grape in that same area. It became painful, and turned out to be a cyst of ingrown hairs.

He had to have it surgically removed.
Reply:have you always hadit? It could be spina bifida occulta.
Reply:Is it new, or have you had it a while? You said it moves by itself, or you mean it it feels like it's not attached to bone or muscle. It might be a pilonidal cyst, and they are harmless until they infect. It's like a really big painful pimple, but I think you should show the doctor. Don't be embarrassed, they look at that stuff all the time. Make sure it's not a tumor for peace of mind.

What does it mean when you have small itchy red bumps on your arms and legs and canker sores on your lips?

My bumps are small and red and itchy at first, but the itchyness eventually goes away. It has only been two days i have had this and each day i get more little red bumps on my skin. Now i have like 5 canker sores on my lips and it really hurts. I also have more canker sore in my mouth. I do not really feel sick or feverish.

What does it mean when you have small itchy red bumps on your arms and legs and canker sores on your lips?
This does not sound like hives (an allergic reaction) but it could still be some kind of reaction to something you ate, or something your skin in coming in contact with --i.e. soaps, detergents or fabric softeners. Or you could be developing a viral rash. You may want to go to the doctor for the rash to get some type of medications for relief

Canker sores usually go away without any treatment. For pain relief, you can try taking ibuprofen (brand name: Advil) or acetaminophen (brand name: Tylenol). Other medicines, such as Anbesol, Oragel, Orabase and Zilactin-B, might keep your canker sores from becoming irritated by eating, drinking or brushing your teeth. You put these medicines right on the sore.

You can also mix equal amounts of Milk of Magnesia and Benadryl Allergy liquid. After it's mixed, you can swish a teaspoonful in your mouth for about 1 minute and then spit it out. If you do this every 4 to 6 hours, your canker sores may hurt less.

Some people think that sucking on zinc lozenges, taking vitamin C or vitamin B complex, using a sage-and-chamomile mouthwash or taking a lysine supplement helps their canker sores heal faster.
Reply:I would suggest that you go to the doctor and have them examined because it may be herpes or some kind of virus.
Reply:canker sores on your lips sounds like a doctor problem-skin problem might be poison ivy or oak-you should get checked out
Reply:It sounds like you are spreading it. You need to wash your hands constantly and consult a physician.
Reply:My first impression...I've had something similiar to this. It sounds like you may be having an allergic reaction to something. Think...are you taking any new medication? Have you changed bath soaps or laundry detergents? Look up anaphylactic shock for more info on this type of rash.
Reply:you might have an STI (sexually transmitted infection) so you need to go to the doctor and have it checked out because with some of the infections you cant tell what the symptoms are unless YOU GO GET CHECKED OUT!
Reply:It doesn't sound like an STD based on that you have a canker AND the red bumps. Herpes doesn't really manifest itself like that. However... go to the doc. If you don't have insurance... go to a free clinic anywhere. It's better to be safe then sorry.

I have a bunch of red bumps and dots all over my legs?

Whether I shave my legs or not, I get little red bumps on my skin. You can't feel them, but you can see red dots perfectly. It's been driving me insane for years. I feel insecure in gym and in a skirt and whatnot. I try putting lotion on after I shave, but it just makes my legs smooth and the red marks stay. Why does this happen? Is there a way I can prevent this or get rid of this? It's so degrading because I feel ugly.

I have a bunch of red bumps and dots all over my legs?
i had the same problem for 2 years before i went to the dermatologist, he said it was folliculitis and gave me oral antibiotics and it went away, he also gave me a topical lotion prescription i used everyday after bathing. i have also tried tea tree oil since then and it has helped, you can buy it and bath and body works and its just the pure oil, then get some plain lotion to mix it with and use it after bathing, it doesnt smell the greatest but the smell doesnt linger.. hope this helps, i felt the same way too and you feel much better when its GONE!!
Reply:I cannot help you with any over the counter remedies but if you see your dermatologist he/she can give the name and how to treat it. It does have a name and can be treated. Make an appointment with your doctor and start feeling better about your legs
Reply:don't shave your legs with the same razor you use on your underarms....deoderant will cause the bumps on your legs...so will certain types of soaps...use a shaving cream/gel and HOT water...always soak your skin before you shave it and don't be in a hurry...if none of this helps...maybe you need to see a dermatologist.
Reply:It seems like you have razor burn and ingrown hairs, the skin is growing over your hair follicles and trapping the growing hair under the skin... They have over the counter remedies for this, I think one is called "Bikini Zone", you can get it from almost any drugstore. It works pretty good, but smells kinda funky. You could also try something to exfoliate the skin on your legs, but wait at least a day after shaving or you may irritate your skin more. I would still recommend seeing a dermatologist 1st, before u do any of this, just to be sure and rule out any other medical conditions.
Reply:It could be keratosis pilaris To be sure though I would see an doctor and ask

http://www.helpforkp.com/keratosis_pilar...

If it is this site has some helpful ideas on how to manage it.
Reply:I have them too. I noticed I would get them when I would go tan. I don't know if it's just coincidence. I've been told they're freckles. But hello, they're red. Also, I have keratosis, which are red bumps on the front of my thighs and upper arms. Maybe it's related?
